For the Mavis Whitehead Trophy - 17th October 2026

The Venue

Hursley, Hampshire

All Saints

The 2026 venue for the contest will be Hursley. Previously, they were the hosts of a National 12 Bell Eliminator in 2023

With the bells being quite light, they are an ideal ring to host the South East 12 Bell.

Location

Hursley church is located at the north end of Hursley village, about 5 miles west of Winchester.

The church is easily accessible via road and there is a regular bus service from Winchester. There are good rail services to Winchester throughout the day.

Directions by road

Coming from Winchester, from M3 junction 11 take the Hockley Link Rd to the roundabout and then follow Badge Farm Rd north until the A3090 (signposted Hursley). Follow the A3090 for approximately 5 miles until you reach Hursley.

Parking

Please note that no parking will be available directly next to the church.

Parking will be available in the IBM car park, which is accessible via Hursley Park Road, just out of the village to the north.

Parking

IBM has kindly allowed us to use their East Car Park (postcode SO21 2JN). Use the IBM Main entrance, at the Winchester end of the village (What3 words: pocketed.dragonfly.translate). From the entrance follow Hursley Park Road to the mini roundabout, turn left and follow the road around to find the East car park further down on the left (red arrows on map below). From the car park there is a pedestrian exit that leads to the Church and Parish Hall, past other private property (indicated by blue arrow).

Look out for the 12 Bell signs and Marshalls to help you on the day.

Use of the IBM car park is on the understanding that it is on private property and that users do so at their own risk and that they observe the on-site cautions about speed limits, speed bumps and indicated parking spaces.
